Raster images, on the other hand, are made up of pixels. These can be great for holding precise details and halftones, but they will pixelate as their size is adjusted.
Don’t worry! We can have your images processed as vector images and we can consult with you on every step of the way to make sure that your print is successful.
File types for vector: .ai, .eps, .svg, or high-res PDF
Garment Colors
Printing on darker colored garments always requires more ink, water based or plastisol. Garment color can also influence the base per piece price of the order. As a general rule white and light grey, blue, or yellow garments will cheaper per piece than black, red, purple, or charcoal grey. Lighter colors require less ink and Therefore less time on press for our team!
We are happy to give our suggestions and help you find the best looking and most cost efficient apparel for your team.
Ink Colors/PMS Matching
The Printing Grounds has a full library of plastisol screen printing ink. We can match your exact PMS color code or we can give recommendations based on costs, good design principles, or just what looks good to our eye!
On darker garments (royal blue, teal, pink, red, purple) a white under-base layer is necessary to achieve an exact color match. This equates to more time on press for our team and it will effect the price point on your order!
If you have questions or concerns about color matching your org or campaign logo we are happy to consult. We accept and appreciate brand packaging or design deck information with specifics on logo color and design.
Design Help
We have a contract designer and illustrator available to consult with our print team and ultimately help you create the most visually compelling apparel project possible.
On the campaign trail, you want voters, organizers, and the media to notice your team. In the office or at the job site you need consistent and compelling branding that will make your team stand out, but appear as one unit. We understand how important uniforms are and we want to help you accomplish your apparel goals.
Proofing Process
Before we bring your project into production we will give you a chance to approve a digital version of your project. We will include product images from the manufacturer of the garment that you select, superimposed with your design(s) with dimensions and ink colors listed on the page.
This will be our opportunity to work out specifics about design placement, size, and color. We are happy to show multiple options on multiple garments to better help you decide on your final product.
Quotes are liable to change based on the proofing process, however the more we know before we start the quote and the proof, the more accurate our original quote and proof will be!
Delivery / Pickup Process
We have regular pickup hours at our warehouse location from 8AM–4PM. If you need to come by outside of those hours, we can coordinate and find something that works for our team and yours. We can also accommodate local deliveries to the twin cities metro, there are costs associated with this delivery method and we will quote your delivery on a case by case basis!
We can also UPS or USPS ship to any location nationwide. If you are based outside of the cities we can ship directly to you. Shipping costs will be included on your final invoice as quoting shipping costs can be difficult before the package is ready to ship. For any delivered or shipped orders we ask that the invoice be paid in full on delivery, or preferably before the order is shipped.
